Charismatics tend to live out of redacted Bibles simply because the bulk of preaching and teaching is topical and not textual.
For each person and for each denomination there are some doctrines or aspects of God that we like and promote, and equally some characteristics of God, doctrines, or features that we do not intuitively like.
Our confirmation bias tends to highlight and confirm the aspects we like and already know, but what about the others?
We should grow into the maturity of believing the WHOLE BIBLE and not use beloved verses to cancel or redact confusing complicated or offensive points.
The solution is to start preaching and teaching textual as opposed to topical.
