The essential understanding of Sex is” “a Male blending with a Female to create New Life”.
That is the Essence of Sex, the “First Principle” of it.
This applies to flowers, fish, birds, mammals, and humans.
The Science
Males produce small gametes called sperm, and females produce larger ones called ovum. During sexual reproduction, male and female gametes fuse to form zygotes(fertilized cells), which develop into offspring that inherit traits from each parent.
The God of the Bible is Male
God is a Father who begets a Son and after that many more sons. God is a Husband, first to Israel and then to the Chuch. God is male. It is apparent the angels also have gender and can reproduce in this manner.
God the Father “begets us again by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead” (1 Peter1:3) in order for us to be children of God and enter the Kingdom of God.
Bonus Features
The passion and excitement humans experience during sex and marriage are additional features God added as part of His artistic expression and creative genius. One has to wonder what kind of God this is who creates sexual passion and romantic love in so much overwhelming power and glory.
He then sets the death penalty for sexual sin to protect it. The only thing that ends a marriage covenant according to the New Testament is still death.
Falling in love, dancing, physical beauty, and all the general things that excite young men and young women about each other so much is part of God’s gift to us and also acts as a parable revealing tremendous things about God. It also includes companionship, fellowship, friendship, purpose, productivity, and the exhilarating ability to reproduce oneself.
Family
From sex flows family and your family is the most important thing in your life except for God Himself.
So What is the Point?
Sex and sexuality are central to God Himself and central to how He created and ordained life on earth and in the Spirit.
God’s covenant with Israel was a marriage covenant and the sign of the covenant was cutting the male sexual organ. Sex is good and godly and the church should understand it much better and talk about it much more. There is very little excitement and very little understanding and very little teaching on sex inside the church.
Except for: “do not watch porn”, “do not masturbate” and wash your hands afterward there is a thundering silence on this most central topic.
The world and those on the outside have much to say and the absence of intelligent passion from preachers is setting the young people up for failure. Young people are left to” Google” it.
Sex is Good, Profound, and Lifegiving
- The First thing we know about the image of God is that it is expressed sexually, they are created Male and Female in order to Reproduce.
- The First Song in the Bible is when Adam sees Eve. His expression is poetry.
- The Man and his Wife were Naked and Unashamed.
- God’s Covenant with Israel was a Marriage.
- The Sign of the Covenant was Circumcision.
- Salvation is “Begotten Again” aka Sexual Reproduction.
- The Church is supposed to be a Virgin. No other husbands!
- The New Jerusalem is a Consummated Marriage
- Wow!!
Jesus was Begotten
30 Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. 31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name JESUS. 32 He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. 33 And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.”34 Then Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I do not know a man?”
35 And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.

We must be Begotten Again
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, 5 who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

God as Husband
31 “Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah—32 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the LORD. 33 But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 34 No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”
