As Jordan Peterson points out, women are more agreeable and men are more confrontational.
Overreaction since World War II
Since World War II the Jesus of the West has been effeminized. This has been part of the overreaction to the toxic masculinity that manifested in the war. The overreaction and the general disdain and shaming of natural masculinity are understandable when one considers the atrocities of that war and in general over the last few centuries committed by men, but it still is not the Biblical balanced picture.
Note: WWII is not the only manifestation of Toxic Masculinity but certainly the biggest and best documented in recent history.
Christ Separates the Wheat from the Chaff and there is less compassion and concern for lies, sin, and perversion than is generally taught in your average Charismatic church.
Yes, Jesus loves the Church, but His love is not that of a mother. Jesus is a man which includes being a Son, sent by a Father to save a damsel in distress. He is going to marry a virgin and ongoing fornication and adultery will not be overlooked.
He kills the dragon and burns the dragon and all his followers with unquenchable fire.
That Jesus is a likable guy is obvious but the level of confrontation He engages in from day one to the last day is actually mindboggling.
Please read the portions below and see what a big role the Holy Spirit plays in this judgment.
He Separates and Burns the Chaff
10 And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. 12 His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”

The Reign of Jesse’s Offspring
There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse,
And a Branch shall grow out of his roots.
2 The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him,
The Spirit of wisdom and understanding,
The Spirit of counsel and might,
The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.
3 His delight is in the fear of the Lord,
And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes,
Nor decide by the hearing of His ears;
4 But with righteousness He shall judge the poor,
And decide with equity for the meek of the earth;
He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth,
And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked.
5 Righteousness shall be the belt of His loins,
And faithfulness the belt of His waist.

Rejection at Nazareth
16 So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read. 17 And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written:
18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me,
Because He has anointed Me
To preach the gospel to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set at liberty those who are oppressed;
19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”
20 Then He closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were fixed on Him. 21 And He began to say to them, “Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.” 22 So all bore witness to Him, and marveled at the gracious words which proceeded out of His mouth. And they said, “Is this not Joseph’s son?”
23 He said to them, “You will surely say this proverb to Me, ‘Physician, heal yourself! Whatever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in Your country.’ ” 24 Then He said, “Assuredly, I say to you, no prophet is accepted in his own country. 25 But I tell you truly, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, and there was a great famine throughout all the land; 26 but to none of them was Elijah sent except to Zarephath, in the region of Sidon, to a woman who was a widow. 27 And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet, and none of them was cleansed except Naaman the Syrian.”
28 So all those in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath, 29 and rose up and thrust Him out of the city; and they led Him to the brow of the hill on which their city was built, that they might throw Him down over the cliff. 30 Then passing through the midst of them, He went His way.
” (Luke 4:16–30, NKJV)
So here is the Takehome
Men will be less depressed and have a much greater sense of purpose when they reject perversion and sin and preach righteousness.
Men will be anointed with the oil of gladness when they love righteousness and hate lawlessness!
8 But to the Son He says:
“Your throne, O God, is forever and ever;
A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.
9 You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness;
Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You
With the oil of gladness more than Your companions.”
” (Hebrews 1:8–9, NKJV)
