You are in the first Adam by birth, or in the Second Adam by death and rebirth. Crucifixion and Resurrection.
There is no other way.
The World around us, called Babylon in the Bible, is in and by the first Adam. God has rejected and condemned this Adam to death and does not ACCEPT his activities.
God has provided life, resurrection, forgiveness and freedom from sin in the SECOND ADAM, who is also the LAST ADAM and is JESUS CHRIST.
We are baptized into the Last Adam by grace through faith. This is supernatural, the Bible calls it SPIRIT.
Some of the best executive summaries are found in Gal 2:20 and Romans 6 & 8.
Churchianity
Unfortunately, very few pastors are clear and honest about this, and the “gospel” preached in most churches on Sunday is some dumbed down hybrid which mixes in the Mosaic Law. The clearest indication of mixtures is TITHING. It is not the only problem but the easiest to spot.
Tithing denies that only the Last Adam is accepted, but teaches that if you give God (actually the pastor) 10% of your money then God will bless the First Adam.
Proper Christology teaches that Christ IS the tithe. Tithing (money) is actually the proverbial golden calf.
This is heresy and denial of the CROSS. You are now forever looped into trying to save the First Adam and get some calling, career, blessing on that Adam and his world.
15 But even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart.
” (2 Corinthians 3:15, NKJV)
We are not saved by doctrine or by Christianity but by CHRIST. Doctrine is supposed to guide us on our path into the Spirit but theology in the West mostly just guides us into theoretical intellectualism and arguments.
Not Carnality But Christ
3 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.
” (Colossians 3:1–4, NKJV)
PS: Few Christians have capacity for a spiritual Christ who focuses us “above”.
