During the Apollo 11 launch sequence; there is a critical point where the navigation computer is switched from ground control to the onboard system. From that point, the rocket navigates but its own internal capabilities. The famous announcement: “Guidance is Internal”.
I love that phrase. As a father is so important that we teach our boys how to navigate.
For infants and boys we must teach WHAT TO THINK, for young-men, we must teach HOW TO THINK.
Always the aim of discipleship is towards that very place where: “GUIDANCE IS INTERNAL”
When the boys become men and they must know how to handle to scripture, how to engage with the WORD OF GOD, the HOLY SPIRIT and also with one another.
Your son becomes your brother and soon he will fly higher and faster than you.
THAT is power!
