27. So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.28. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

18. And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.”19. Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. She shall be called Woman,
Because she was taken out of Man.”
24. Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.25. And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

Requirements for elders

6 if a man is blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of dissipation or insubordination.7 For a bishop must be blameless, as a steward of God, not self-willed, not quick-tempered, not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money, 8 but hospitable, a lover of what is good, sober-minded, just, holy, self-controlled, 9 holding fast the faithful word as he has been taught, that he may be able, by sound doctrine, both to exhort and convict those who contradict.
